Fried eggs in a hole are delicious and simple meal to make.

This healthy breakfast will help to keep you satisfied for longer, reducing the need to reach for those unhealthy mid-morning snacks.

Gather your ingredients, and with a large round biscuit cutter or the rim of a glass, press down and cut a circle out of the centre of your slice of bread.

Butter your bread on both sides including the cut out piece.

Heat a frying pan or skillet over a medium heat and add the olive oil and swirl around to lightly coat the surface.

Add your bread, then gently crack the egg open and add to the hole.

Cook for about a minute and a half gently moving the toast around the pan so it doesn’t stick, until the egg white is almost cooked.

Flip the toast and cook for a further 60 to 90 seconds until the yolk is soft to touch.

Serve up and eat while it is still hot and the yolk is soft to runny.

My Name is Raymond Renard and I run I am a great believer that food should be pleasurable to look at, plus be healthy, enjoyable and fun to eat. I was a chef for many years but now just enjoy cooking healthy stuff for fun, which I like to share in order to help others see that it isn't just junk food that can be enjoyable. Plus I also like to encourage others to do the same. I am married with 2 grown up daughters who are also married and great cooks in their own right, and hopefully they will be making some healthy dishes and showing them off on here in the future.
